Fiat 500 got diesel engine

Fiat 500The Myth that more power leads to increased fuel consumption was defeated once again. Fiat announced today that replace diesel 1.3 Multijet unit of a pipsqueak 500 with its updated and more powerful version. 1.3 Multijet II engine has a new variable geometry turbocharger, and its output is 95 h.p. at 4 000 rev/min or, whole 20 h.p. more than that of his predecessor. The maximum torque of the new unit did reach 200 Nm and is still available in 1 500 rev/min. The engine has received a DPF particulate filter and Start & Stop system off when the car is stationary. The end result of the additional power and other changes increase the maximum speed of 165 to 181 kilometers per hour, and reduce the time for acceleration from 0-100 km/h, of 12.5 to 10.7 sec. While the combined fuel consumption is a drop of 4.2 per 3.9l/100km. And emitted CO2 emissions – from 110 to 104gr/km.
