Vice president of Renault-Yves Morel Eric officially confirmed that the company developed convertible version of the model Twingo. The car will debut at the exhibition in Frankfurt in September, and sales will start in the first half of the 2010th. According to Morel that is not just another convertible on the market but will be a new “niches” model that stands out among its competitors and will help to strengthen the image of the French brand. Although not reported more details about the car, some publications claim that it will be based on the concept Twingo CC, which was presented in 2007. It is assumed that the engine of the convertible will be a power 120 h.p. and its price will be around 15 000 euros.
