The new Mercedes A-Class

On the exhibition was shown in Shanghai concept of the new Mercedes A-Class, which was very aggressive look, and now we see the first images of the serial model, however, whose design is somewhat unattractive. The photos are used by Mercedes model patent in the EPO. They show that the car has kept the basic design lines of the concept, but the most attractive parts missing, such as the grille and headlights. The new Mercedes A-Class is no longer a familiar form of his two generations, and will be close to that of its main rivals Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series. According to preliminary data, the vehicle is a 4200 mm gauge length and 1393 mm height, which means that he is 30 cm longer and 20 cm lower than the current generation model.
It is known that the main engines of the new A-Class will be joint development of Daimler and Renault-Nissan, top and modification will be equipped with a 2.0-liter unit generating 210 h.p. At a later stage will be introduced AMG version whose power will be around 320 h.p.
