The new Mercedes A-Class is no longer a familiar form of his two generations, and will be close to that of its main rivals Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series. According to preliminary data, the vehicle is a 4200 mm gauge length and 1393 mm height, which means that he is 30 cm longer and 20 cm lower than the current generation model.
It is known that the main engines of the new A-Class will be joint development of Daimler and Renault-Nissan, top and modification will be equipped with a 2.0-liter unit generating 210 h.p. At a later stage will be introduced AMG version whose power will be around 320 h.p.

Mercedes A-Class E-Cell joins the electric Smart Electric Drive and B-Class F-Cell, the product range of cars with zero emissions of Daimler. For now, however, no data on the propulsion system model. Like the Smart Electric Drive and B-Class F-Cell, in A-Class E-Cell will be produced only a few hundred pieces, which will be available for testing for corporate clients. Mass sales of electric A-Class and B-Class will probably only start with the next generation of models that Mercedes-Benz to introduce in late 2011.
