The new Toyota 4Runner

Toyota introduced the American market fifth generation model 4Runner. The car uses a common platform with the FJ Cruiser, while its dimensions are increased and it can now be ordered with a third row of seats. New Toyota 4Runner is available in three different versions – Standard (SR5), luxury (Limited) and intended for off-road (Trail). The latter has a greater ground clearance, protective panels under the front and rear bumpers, tinted lights and a different cover engine. It is equipped with the system for four modes of governance Multi-Terrain Select and the system of descent Crawl Control (optional for the SR5 and Limited). Toyota 4Runner is available with two petrol engines. These are the 2.7-liter generating power 157 h.p. and a maximum torque of 241Nm. and 4.0-liter V6, a power 270 h.p. and a maximum torque of 376Nm. The first is available with four-and five-speed automatic transmissions and more powerful – just the latter. Toyota 4Runner is available in versions with power only to the rear wheels and the 4×4 system. The price of the model in the U.S. starting from 27 500 dollars in modification 2.7 SR5 2WD 4AT and reaches 39 800 dollars for 4.0 Limited 4WD 5AT.
