The production version of the Aston Martin Rapide made its official debut at the exhibition in Frankfurt. The car is almost identical with the same name, a concept the company introduced in Detroit in 2006 as the serial model has received minor changes to the bumpers. Aston Martin Rapide is equipped with 6.0-liter V12 engine, whose power is 470 h.p. and maximal torque reaches 600Nm. The unit works in tandem with six-speed automatic transmission Touchtronic 2, with the possibility of switching gears from behind the steering wheel controls. The British company has not yet declared the dynamic performance of their new car, but according to specialists it accelerates less than 4 seconds from 0-100km / h. and is able to develop a maximum speed of 290 kilometers per hour Aston Martin Rapide platform using V / H Architecture, which is the same as in models Vantage, DB9 and DBS. The company also reported that the volume of the luggage compartment is 300l. But the rear seats are folded, in which case it increases to 750l. The first owners of the Rapide will receive their car early next year, the expected price of the model is around 140 000 pounds sterling. The new Aston Martin sedan will be manufactured in a factory in the Austrian company Magna Steyr, located in Graz.

Aston Martin revealed the new model Rapide, representing 4-door compartment and based on the same concept that was presented three years before the show in Detroit.

Aston Martin Rapide will appear on the market next year and is expected to cost around 140 000 liras sterling. Production of cars will be delivered in the company’s Austrian factory Magna Steyr, located in Graz.
