As we have already repeatedly pointed out the crisis raises all sorts of alliances as BMW has decided to produce common parts with its biggest competitor, Daimler, it Bavarians can work with anyone. Just another new partner of the German company called Saab, whose CEO Victor Muller has revealed the magazine Auto Express, that BMW will help them to develop a completely new model that will be called 9-2. The car will be based on the current Saab 9-3, the goal will be to become a major competitor to the Audi A1. The model will use a completely new platform on which BMW will build the next generation of the Mini and 1-Series.

The company Saab Spyker Automobiles NV, which was founded in January, after having acquired the Dutch Spyker Saab, apparently not waste time and announced that after two years will start mass production of the next generation of models 9-3. Moreover, at the beginning of 2011th Swedish brand will launch off-road wagon and the new version 9.5 which will be available this spring, as the SUV version of the model will be called 9-5X.
