Just another new partner of the German company called Saab, whose CEO Victor Muller has revealed the magazine Auto Express, that BMW will help them to develop a completely new model that will be called 9-2. The car will be based on the current Saab 9-3, the goal will be to become a major competitor to the Audi A1. The model will use a completely new platform on which BMW will build the next generation of the Mini and 1-Series.

According to the plans of the management of the brand Saab, which is now owned by Dutch company Spyker, in 2012. should appear on the new generation of models 9-3, but that will be available in more versions. Initially the model will be available in sedan, later to be joined by her station wagon and convertible, according to a Dutch edition AutoWeek, the new generation Saab 9-3 will be a hatchback.
