New Volkswagen Up in LA

Just a few hours before the start of the exhibition in Los Angeles, Volkswagen has revealed a fifth consecutive Concept Up, which is a diesel-electric hybrid and as the company is the most economical four-car in the world. Volkswagen Up Lite is dvuvrat hatchback, hybrid system which consists of cylindric diesel engine, cylinder capacity 800 cub cm and 51 h.p. and power, 10-kW (14 h.p.) electric motor, 7-stage DSG transmission with double clutch, and start / stop system. Hybrid cars can use both their engines simultaneously when quick acceleration is needed, in which case the combined power reaches 65 h.p. According to data from Volkswagen, the latest Up Concept accelerates from 0-100 km/h for 12.5 sec, develops a maximum of 160 kilometers per hour and spends only 2.44l/100km. which means that 20 liters of diesel fuel can be traveled over 800 kilometers. The concept is constructed primarily of aluminum and carbon fiber, but there are steel elements, and the weight is only 695 kilograms. Vehicle dimensions are 3.84 meters length, 1.6 meters width and 1.4 meters height and the distance between the two axes is 2.45 meters. Volkswagen Up Lite is another step towards serial compact car company.
